More than “Hot Stone Massage”, Geothermal Massage Therapy uses both warm basalt and cool marble stones to help the body achieve homeostasis. Our training, based in the West of Scotland, allows our students to stand out from the crowd in today’s competitive world. Why Horizon Geothermal Massage Training Academy
Horizon Geothermal Massage Training Academy has been researching the application of warm and cool stones to the body since 2006 when its founder was trained by Jane Scrivner, who herself was trained by Mary Nelson. Mary Nelson is accredited for discovering and developing what we now know as ‘Hot Stone Massage’ in America in 1993. At Horizon Geothermal Massage Training Academy you are close to the source of how a treatment should be, more than just a ‘Hot Stone Massage.’

How much is your first course?
“Foundation Stone” costs £549 which can be paid in instalments.
What qualifications do I need to take your advanced massage courses?
We require you have an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Qualification in Full Body Massage with Anatomy and Physiology.
Are your courses accredited?
Yes, of course. All of our courses are fully accredited by The Federation of Holistic Therapists.
Will I be awarded CPD Points?
Yes. Our courses award at least 12 CPD points.
How long do your advanced massage courses last?
Our training course lasts for two days in the training room to optimise practical training. Home-study will also be required.
Do I need to bring a model with me?
No, you will work with another student.
Do I need to bring equipment with me?
No, all equipment is provided for training.
What should I wear on the course?
You are free to wear your tunic or uniform if you wish; however, your clothing should be comfortable for practical work. Please do not bring or wear any jewellery (except a wedding ring/small earrings).
